How it works

Up the walls in three steps.

  1. Install Rampart VPN

    Get the app on your iPhone.

  2. Allow the VPN configuration

    iOS asks once to let Rampart VPN add a VPN configuration. Tap Allow — every VPN app needs this permission.

  3. Tap Connect

    When the app shows Protected, your traffic travels through the encrypted tunnel.

Never collected

  • Your browsing history, or the sites and apps you use
  • Your DNS queries
  • The contents of your traffic
  • Your name, email or phone number
  • Contacts, photos or precise location

What the app does send

  • A random device key, device ID and anonymous account code, so our servers can let your iPhone in
  • Connection reports — success or error, server, network type, session length and data volume, never content
  • The app and iOS versions
